Have I Got News For You!? How information spreads on Twitter

Twitter plays an important part in the 21st-century news cycle but finding a formula for introducing information effectively is still difficult. Rob Turnbull (Twitter), shows us how using both qualitative and quantitative techniques, big data and social fingerprinting we can understand how information flows on Twitter and how best to tell your story.

Rob looks after insights and measurement for Tech and Telco clients at Twitter. With a background in data analysis, Rob has been working with the rest of the UK research team to turn internal data into meaningful insight for the last year and a half.

Understanding the value of your digital campaigns

Innovative Measurement and Evaluation of your digital campaigns - Dianne Newman, CEO of Research & Analysis of Media (UK & Ireland), will present a case study which showcases the unique ability to gain a 360 degree analysis of your online campaigns. Whether it be the reach, frequency and demographic breakdown of your campaigns, the ability to understand specifically which channels have performed best, or the ability to recontact the specific people who were exposed to the campaign to understand their recall, engagement and purchase intent, the Inviso system does it all. In addition to this, the advertiser can gain detailed understanding of how their campaign performs against the extensive industry benchmark database.

Kids & the screen:  Changing the channel

Maxine Fox, Managing Director at Giraffe Insights and John Conlon, Senior Director of Data & Consumer Insights Northern Europe for Turner Broadcasting will present findings from the Kids and the Screen: Changing the channel study.

Kids have more choice than ever in how and what they watch.  With more devices and platforms competing for attention, brands are working across a range of data points and individual measurement systems to understand their audience. Giraffe Insights will share findings from their latest research initiative exploring the viewing habits of kids aged 2-9 years, across both linear TV and online video platforms. The research gives insight in to the role of live TV  and the 'viewing ritual' and provides other learnings about content consumption that are significant for this age group.   Turner will explore the importance of the research findings for its own brands - from its TV channels, to the wider 360 ecosystem of digital and other touchpoints across which fans engage.
