MRG May Evening Meeting

Evening Meeting

  • Date:  Tuesday 23rd May 2017
  • Time: 6pm for 6:30pm start
  • Location: IAB Events & Training Space, 14 Macklin Street, London, WC2B 5NF

The Netflix revolution

Julia Lamaison and Sam Tuck (GfK) provide an insight and glimpse into their established SVOD Tracker study understanding the role SVOD plays in our television viewing habits, alongside broadcast television. Available in nearly 30% of all households, if Netflix was on the TV EPG, just what audience share would it have? How many people have actually watched the Grand Tour on Amazon, and do we series binge or are we still creatures of linear habits? Julia and Sam will take us through how their daily diary study can help broadcasters understand the true value of their content and the impact on linear viewing.

How well do you know today's teens?

Maeve O'Dwyer and Mathilde Leblond (FreshMinds) share the findings of Teens in 2017, a bespoke study to help companies better understand and connect with today's teenagers. Get ready to see a number of commonly held stereotypes flipped on their heads as Maeve and Mathilde share the findings of this fascinating research. You'll discover what teens plan to spend their money on, how they engage with different media platforms and who's involved in the decisions that they make. Plus, you'll learn what teens want to see from brands and what steps you can take to better appeal to this lucrative demographic.

We will also be using the session to host our annual general meeting. The MRG committee will update you on plans for the year; but we don't just want you to listen to us. This is also an opportunity for you to give us your input. We're really keen to understand what you think of what the MRG stands for and how you think we can improve, so please do come along whether you're a new, established or lapsed member.

Please note, evening meetings are free to attend but only open to MRG members.
