Job overview:

Do you have experience within media research, enjoy data analysis and have an analytical mind? We have an exciting opportunity within one of the world’s leading production companies, analysing TV content trends and audiences.

Would suit someone with 1-2 years’ experience within the media research sector.

About the team:

This is a key role within the Global Research & Insight team allowing the successful candidate to gain experience and insight into international media research. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all areas of the business, providing support including programme ratings and audience insights on high profile UK and international content.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Produce and distribute reports on audience ratings which inform producers and teams on show performance and the wider industry
  • Undertake data extraction, analysis and distribution on global formats such as The X Factor and The Farmer Wants A Wife
  • Create presentations and reports to highlight the success of Fremantle formats such as Got Talent and American Gods
  • Produce ad-hoc projects as required, such as detailed analysis of programme genres across entertainment, factual and drama, new launches and schedules
  • Be responsible for the analysis of key brands including Fremantle’s international daily drama series
  • Gain exposure to questionnaire design, scripting and reporting
  • Work across all areas of the business, including global production and licensed programming

We’re looking for:

  • Educated to degree level, preferably involving analysis and/or research elements
  • 1-2 years’ experience and understanding of BARB and/or international ratings and other research tools gained from working in a research environment – probably for a Broadcaster, Producer or Agency
  • Good knowledge of the television industry and the broader media industry
  • Proven numerical, analytical and presentation writing skills
  • The ability to turn audience research data into meaningful insight
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and use own initiative
  • Some international experience or additional languages would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Power BI / coding would be advantageous
  • Someone highly organised and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Someone able to clearly communicate ideas and information to others
  • The ability to work as part of a busy team
  • The ability to take ownership and responsibility for work
  • A flexible approach and a positive, pro-active, can-do attitude
